HPC COCKPIT
Next-generation cockpit

HPC - HIGH PERFORMANCE COCKPIT
Developed over three years, the Lightweight HPC Cockpit marks a new chapter in aerodynamic design, extending the performance and precision of Lightweight wheels to the front of the bike. It’s a true upgrade for any dream build.

ART - ALPHA RIB TECHNOLOGY
ART is a defining innovation in Lightweight’s carbon design. Made from 142 individually engineered carbon patches, this specialized architecture reinforces key zones to optimize stiffness, strength, and weight distribution. The result is an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, precise handling, and a cockpit that responds with the control and efficiency serious riders demand.

ASD - AERO STREAMLINE DESIGN
ASD merges clean aesthetics, advanced aerodynamics, and low weight. Every contour of the cockpit is engineered to minimize air resistance and maximize speed. This is the integration of design, performance, and efficiency at the highest level.

ASA - ADAPTIVE SIZE ADJUSTMENT
ASA matches each size with its ideal reach and drop, ensuring a fit that feels intuitive from the first ride. It provides comfort, control, and ergonomics that fully support the riding position.

ICM - INTEGRATED COMPUTER MOUNT
ICM integrates your computer directly into the cockpit setup. It is engineered for stability, a secure hold, and a clean line of sight, keeping performance data front and center.
LCC - LIGHTWEIGHT CUSTOM COMPOSITE
Lightweight Custom Composite is a proprietary material technology developed for minimal weight and maximum performance. Every layer is precisely engineered to deliver the perfect balance of stiffness, responsiveness, and long-term durability. The result is a tailor-made, high-performance composite that enhances efficiency, sharpens ride feel, and meets the highest demands of cycling.

HANDCRAFTED PRECISION
MADE IN GERMANY
Handcrafted Precision reflects the care and craftsmanship behind each Lightweight component. Key processes are performed by hand to ensure exceptional consistency and attention to detail. This hands-on approach upholds the highest standards of quality and delivers performance you can trust.
Made in Germany Innovation represents the foundation of Lightweight’s engineering excellence. Developed and produced in Friedrichshafen, every wheel draws on decades of expertise, combining advanced technology with rigorous standards to meet the demands of serious cyclists around the world.

MADE IN GERMANY INNOVATION
Made in Germany Innovation stands for the highest quality and advanced technology, developed and produced in Germany. Every detail is crafted with excellent engineering and precision, built to meet the highest standards over time.
MONTHS OF DEVELOPMENT
Crafting the perfect stiffness profile required months of dedicated testing and adjustment. Our engineers invested significant time and resources to ensure the HPC’s structure delivers maximum power transfer while maintaining a sleek, aerodynamic profile.
OPTIMIZED FIBER LAYOUT FOR PEAK PERFORMANCE
Each section was precisely tuned for stiffness, creating a cockpit that feels solid, responsive, and built for efficient power transfer. The lightweight design turns effort into momentum, offering control and superior handling, even at top speeds.
AERO-MASS-INDEX
The Aero-Mass Index is a characteristic value for the equivalent evaluation of the aerodynamics and weight of a component. It is calculated as the product of the power loss at 45 km/h in W and the weight of the component in kg. The power loss is statistically weighted by the lateral flow.

THE GEOMETRY
“Narrow is aero” is becoming more important in today’s road cycling world. But aerodynamic positions only matter if the rider is comfortable enough. True performance depends on how well the bike fits the rider, especially at the contact points.
That is why we focused on refining ergonomics for every hand position. Using 3D-printed prototypes and real rider input across a range of hand sizes and geometries, we developed a handlebar shaped by feedback as much as engineering.
A subtle incline from the tops into the hoods creates a natural platform for the wrist to rest, improving comfort and control over long distances. Adaptive Size Adjustment ensures that each bar width comes with a drop geometry customed to fit, giving riders the freedom to choose based on preference, not just body type.
Aero-Mass-Index
The goal was clear: maximize aerodynamics, minimize weight, and deliver the stiffness needed for precise control. Achieving it meant rethinking the rules.
Cyclists once had to choose between aero efficiency and ultralight design. As performance demands, these elements must work together.
While stiffness-to-weight remains the benchmark for lightweight components, and aerodynamic drag is measured in watts, there has been no unified metric for evaluating both. So we created one.
The Aero-Mass Index (Watt × kg) measures the relationship between weight and aerodynamic resistance. Calculated using air resistance at 45 km/h and the component’s weight, it gives equal weight to both values, and ultimately, delivers a clear, comparable benchmark for high-performance design.
A lower index means a more balanced, high-performance design.
