Become part of our Strava Club

Ride as much as you can and collect as many kilometres and / or altitude metres on your bike as possible between 15th and 21st August 2022. Outdoor and indoor both count, and you have to upload each completed ride to Strava. With a bit of luck you might win Lightweight apparels (size of your choice) worth up to €350 at the end of the challenge. The main prizes will be distributed among the Top100 Club winners of the most ridden kilometres and the Top100 of the most collected altitude metres. Both Top100 lists in our club count.

You can also win something, of course. Everyone who enters will be put into a draw for Lightweight apparels worth up to €350.

How do I enter?

To enter the Challenge, you have to be a member of our Lightweight Strava Club Challenge and make sure your Strava account is set to public. If you win, we can only contact you directly if you have a public account.

Innovation Contest terms of entry:

1.    Overview and entry

• carbovation gmbh is the organiser of the Lightweight Strava Club Challenge.
• The Lightweight Strava Club Challenge will run from 15/08/2022, 00:00h CET to 21/08/2022, 23:59h CET.
• To enter, you must be in the Top100 of our Lightweight Strava Club fort he most ridden kilometres and / or the most collected altitude metres.
• Employees of carbovation gmbh and their family members may not enter the competition.
• Commercial users and legal, non-natural persons may not enter.
• A person may not enter more than once.
• The competition languages are English and German.
• Entrants are themselves responsible for checking whether prizes are taxable and paying tax on them if they are.

2.    General rules

• By entering the Lightweight Strava Club Challenge, you agree to these terms and conditions and the decisions of the organiser.
• The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the terms of entry at any time.
• The Challenge is not sponsored by Strava in any way.
• To enter the Challenge, you need to register with Strava.com and become a member of the Lightweight Strava Club to get yourself listed on the Lightweight Strava Club leaderboard.
• The Challenge is a prize draw in which participants are required to track a specific activity (such as 100 km cycling) using the Strava app or upload it to Strava.
• If you complete the Challenge successfully, you will automatically be entered into the prize draw if you are among the Top100 Club winners.
• Anyone aged 18 or over is eligible to enter, except employees of carbovation gmbh and partners that are involved in the Challenge.
• Lightweight Strava Club members may enter any ride they like.
• There are no additional costs for winners, such as shipping.
• carbovation gmbh accepts no responsibility or liability for any accidents or damage whatsoever.

3.    Notification of winners

• We will notify winners via Strava in their most recently uploaded activities in the Top100 leaderboard by no later than 26th August 2022. There will be no further written notification by post.
• Once entry is closed, carbovation gmbh will raffle the prizes among the two Top100 entrants. Winners will be contacted in writing in their most recent activities on the Strava app.
• Prizes cannot be claimed in cash. Prize entitlement is non-transferable. You may not exchange prizes, or claim warranty rights on them.
• The announcement of winners is not guaranteed. Participants agree that in if they win, their names will be published by carbovation gmbh in various channels (website, social media etc.).

4.    Data privacy

• Data belonging to participants will be used exclusively for processing entry in the competition. We do not transfer these data to third parties. Participants may object to the use of their data at any time without giving reasons by writing to carbovation GmbH, Otto-Lilienthal-Str. 15, 88046 Friedrichshafen, Germany, or by sending an e-mail to datenschutz(at)lightweight.info with effect for the future. Further information about how long data are stored, and participants’ rights, can be found in our privacy policy.

5.    Termination of the competition at any time

• carbovation gmbh may halt or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons. carbovation gmbh may exercise this right especially if it becomes impossible to run the competition for technical or legal reasons.

6.    Final provisions

• There shall be no recourse to legal action.
• These entry rules and any legal relationships arising from them shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, unless a different exclusive place of jurisdiction is stipulated by law.
• Should any provisions of these terms of entry be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
